What is a disposable vape kit?
A disposable vape is usually a kit or set that comes with everything necessary for vaping. It contains e-liquid, battery, cartomizer(s), charger and ohms meter. The device also has an option to adjust the voltage/wattage primarily by turning on and off which makes it easy for both beginners as well as advanced users to continue enjoying their bud throughout the day or at work if they are so inclined (I would recommend not smoking while at work), as well as allowing flavour-adjustments through one more device you don’t have to carry around. The vaping experience is usually achieved by sucking the atomizer on its cartomizers, which has a resistance between 1 ohm and 4.8 ohms depending upon what your goals seem to be from using it: whether you want extra power or smoother taste (I’ll get into techniques for achieving this in another post).
How does a disposable vape kit work?
A disposable vape kit uses a type-C charger, so after charging it the first time you can use your new device anywhere whether its USB Type-C or an AUX cable. The battery is usually either 650mAh or 9V with 1.2ohm and 2 ohms (or higher). I’m not sure about all the differences within their kits but for starters, there are two options that seem to be widely used: bubble which comes at a price premium, and salt nicotine. There is always a liquid option as well which can either be E-liquid or Salt Nicotine depending on what you’re looking to experience. For these pictures I’ve used bubble made by Vapor Empire in 400mg/120ml which has an “ultra” strength inside of it with 16 gauge current wire cartomizer that lets you achieve maximum.
What are the benefits of using a disposable vape kit?
The main benefit of a disposable vape kit is that by its nature you are able to easily disassemble the device and re-use it either as parts or make new devices from any materials at home. This essentially means in between charges your disposable vape can be recycled which goes back into the cycle much better than using something like an Ego battery, which will obviously end up aftermarket somewhere where they could compete against one another for less expensive components just to be broken down.
As well paid as disposable vapes can be, I find them to have a lot of advantages over more expensive types like rebuildable atomizers: greater flexibility in variety of electronic materials and even tip options which for some people makes the “price” worth it when used outside of home electronics stores or using your own material at home with no expense saved by renting each time (aside from getting charged for whatever you buy).
How long can you use one battery for?
As long as it does not lose functionality. The typical lifespan of a disposable kit is around 3-4 weeks, you should note that this depends on how many times the user charges and discharges their device, but in general I would say 2 or more full cycles reduces durability roughly by half (thus 4 weeks is closer to 1 & 1/2). At most we’ve run into problems when coils are clogged which can lead to reduced output as well as smoking batteries because of the buildup. That being said, whole battery longevity depends on what components are used in your setup, different materials have differing lifespans already with a lot more variables and we’ve yet to find kits where after 5-6 weeks you can’t get at least 4 days out of it if not less depending on which vaping material they use (you could still add an additional set to greatly increase lifespan however).
It’s important to note, though, that it takes around 10-12 hours of constant vaping for a battery to “burn out” so you can charge them several times and even use the same one if you are short on time – as well vapes need much more regular maintenance in terms of replacing coils than batteries however (battery failure usually requires somewhere between 8 & 22 dollars for full replacement depending on brand).5. What type of batteries do these kits use?
Right now it’s pretty much only lithium ion, although there is also a good amount of hybrid (lithium/nickel) and other types. Don’t be deterred by this – I have personally used non-branded cheap ones to great success with my rebuildable atomizers including one time with an EGO mini that cost brand new that lasted me over 5 years! Most brands however will generally not last as long because they use lower wattages, higher voltages and/or newer battery technology to increase performance which tends to be why the older ones are being replaced by the new versions that won’t burn as good.
Also note you should get “streamlined” batteries for these kits for a couple of reasons: 1) They have built in protection from overcharging thus less maintenance is required (in my personal experience I’ve found disconnecting them can help with longevity though).
Can you recharge the battery in this kit or not?
Yes, you can. I personally have been able to recharge them using various digital supplies ranging from phone chargers/wall adapters and my computer’s USB ports. Some require a special adapter but usually most will charge up for close to full use (I’ve tested one of mine that only lasted about an hour before the “almost charged” light turned on).
Respectfully: – It takes around 8 hours just charging it from 0-92% where it usually sits at around 92%. I also almost always leave them on the charger to charge up as a precaution and this way they’re always good for use when needed. – Note that you can safely fully drain/charge most batteries about twice before needing a recharge (literally toss one out).
How long do the kits last?
In my experience most of these kits should last between 8-10 months depending on how hard or often vaping you do. My lower-watt kits for example last about a year but the higher wattage units tend to burn sooner so I don’t personally see them lasting as long (my 120W unit works great with all brands though that’s just my personal opinion).
